We are here for the communities
of British Columbia
The British Columbia Economic Development
Association (BCEDA) founded Canada's first
Economic Disaster Recovery Program in 2012.
Since that time, BCEDA has provided leadership
in designing and implementing programs in BC,
throughout Canada and even assisted in the United
States.
While each disaster is unique, the basics are the
same. Residents, businesses and communities are
impacted and the suppo needs to be given to help
them recover. Programs must be developed to meet
the immediate needs of the community. BCEDA
has developed workshops to help communities
be be er prepared to overcome the economic
impacts of disasters.
Never before has the need to work together
been so prevalent. Understanding the impacts of
COVID19 on our local community's economy and
sharing our effo s towards response and recovery
is needed. We are all in this together.
