While Simon Fraser University's 50th anniversary is a
momentous occasion celebrating past accomplishments, it's also
an opportunity to highlight the present.
To capture the essence of student life today, photographer Nik
West spent a whirlwind 50 hours touring SFU campuses in Burnaby,
Surrey and Vancouver. Vastly apparent through his collection
of images is the diversity of SFU's programs. From athletics to
engineering science to interactive arts and technology, SFU
students are learning how to change the world, and are engag-
ing in every discipline—locally and internationally. For students
on exchange and in field schools, as well as in the highly sought-
after international Co-operative Education Program, the world is
a campus. —Ariane Fleischmann (MPub '15)
