Yaletown
O
n the south side of the downtown peninsula, Yaletown offers
a glamorous urban vibe with numerous sidewalk cafes, trendy
restaurants, designer boutiques and a thriving nightlife scene.
Originally a warehouse district at the end of the cross-Canada railway line,
the old redbrick buildings are now home to chic boutiques where carefully
curated collections of designer fashions, accessories, homewares and artwork
will appeal to savvy shoppers.
Right at the water's edge, Yaletown boasts a number of the city's best
seafood restaurants, and luckily for us, those wide loading docks, once used
for stacking train-bound freight, now make fantastic restaurant patios. And
the night doesn't have to end with dessert – Yaletown is the place to grab a
designer cocktail and paint the town a fashionable shade of crimson.
