If your clients are looking for more of a cultural experience by boat, have them join Takaya Tours, hosted by guides from the Coast Salish Nation, as they sing traditional songs, share legends and point out ancient village sites. BOAT AND YACHT TOURS It doesn't matter what time of year your clients visit, it's always boating season in Vancouver. They can choose from a wide variety of harbour tours, charter and sightseeing excursions, sunset dinner cruises and guided educational cruises that highlight wildlife and local history with one of several local companies, including Accent Cruises, Harbour Cruises & Events, Magic Yacht Charters, Pride of Vancouver Charters, The Sunset Bay Yacht Group or VancouverCruises.com. SEA KAYAKING There's nothing like exploring Vancouver in a kayak – natural wonders, exciting wildlife and breathtaking views are all to be expected. Visitors can take guided tours from Granville Island, English Bay and Jericho Beach with Ecomarine Kayak, or explore the Indian Arm fjord with Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak. FISHING CHARTERS Salmon fishing is a local tradition and a highly popular activity for visitors. Fully equipped and guided saltwater fishing charters such as Bites-On Salmon Charters and STS Guiding Services depart from marinas downtown and throughout the city. In addition, with more than 18,000 square kilometres (almost 7,000 square miles) of lakes and rivers, British Columbia boasts unrivalled freshwater fishing. PADDLEBOARDING Stand-up paddleboarding is one of the world's fastest-growing sports – and the calm waters of Vancouver's False Creek and English Bay are the perfect place to learn. Paddle your way around the city on a guided tour of Vancouver's skyline or enjoy a pastel sunset from your watery viewpoint with Ecomarine Paddlesport Centres. WHALES!
