With campuses in British Columbia's three largest cities—Vancouver, Surrey and Burnaby—
Simon Fraser University is not just shaping minds, but also communities. From its roots atop
Burnaby Mountain, the University first expanded west with the opening of Harbour Centre in
downtown Vancouver in 1989, and more recently east to Surrey City Centre in 2002. An integral
part of the city and province, SFU's multiple campuses and facilities are engaging people near
and far. As we reflect on 50 years, we look back at the architectural structures that are the
foundation of it all. by Allen Tung (BA '15) and Justin Wong (BA '15)
