51 WANT TO SEE WHAT VANCOUVER BLOGGERS HAVE TO SAY? insidevancouver.ca ➔ A C C O M M O D A T I O N S GREAT VALUE OPTIONS Vancouver's size means great options for those on a tight budget. Quality chains such as Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Ramada and Howard Johnson all have properties in Vancouver and offer great value. Your clients may also appreciate staying in an all-suite hotel, such as the Rosedale on Robson or Century Plaza, to take advantage of kitchen and laundry facilities. For options that are big on character but easy on the budget, suggest the Blue Horizon, The Burrard and the Victorian Hotel. And the YWCA Hotel has rooms to suit all budgets and group sizes – a good choice for both those travelling on their own or in larger groups. TRAVEL APARTMENTS Travel apartments are a great option for clients planning long-term stays, and give them a real sense of being a "local." Most are completely furnished units and feature full kitchens to help provide the flexibility long-stay travellers are looking for, and they are frequently a better value for extended visits. Families will enjoy the flexibility of one-, two- and three-bedroom options. Conveniently located apartments include Lord Stanley Suites on the Park, Accommodations by Pillow Suites, Times Square Suites Hotel and Rosellen Suites at Stanley Park. HOSTELS AND OTHER OPTIONS Clean, safe and comfortable: Vancouver hostels like the YWCA and the St. Clair Hotel are a great option for clients on a budget and looking to meet like-minded travellers. And staying in a hostel doesn't just mean a dormitory – most properties, such as Hostelling International and SameSun Backpacker Lodges, have private rooms as well. Other options for accommodation in Vancouver include campgrounds and RV parks – the closest to downtown Vancouver is the Capilano River RV Park, just over the Lions Gate Bridge in North Vancouver, but other sites are available throughout Metro Vancouver.
