Lasting Beauty SKIN Megan McHollister, mlmakeup.com How do you address skin that is oily or prone to dryness? "If the bride has heavily textured skin, I recommend an airbrushed foundation; otherwise, for most skin types I prefer traditional foundation application by brush. First, for oily skin I would use a primer but also an oil-control lotion prior to that. In the case of dry skin, a great lotion is good to use under the primer, but trying new formulas on the big day is risky. I give dry skin a heavy layer of primer and a more nurturing or balanced formula of foundation." What is one makeup product you recommend keeping on hand for touch-ups? " MAC has a great blotting powder which does not add weight or pigment to the face when freshening up throughout the day." Tip: "Do a trial! Sometimes what we see on others or on the runway is beautiful, but when transferred to a bridal look it can be a little aggressive for the soft romantic day ahead."
