I like to use Burt's Bees because it's a wax whereas some other products are a bit too slippery." What are your favourite lip products for longevity? "I'm all about using long-wear products, so I use a lot of the MAC Pro Longwear lip pencils and Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip. Stila has some really great waterproof lipsticks. I like to condition the lips because sometimes the long-wear products can be a little drying." Tip: "I often suggest that brides keep their lips a neutral colour. I would stay away from anything too creamy and even lipgloss. If any, I'll just put a dab of gloss in the middle of the lip. If you put too much on, it can get on your ancé's lapel and requires more touch-ups." EYES Shaina Azad, shainaazadbeauty.com What causes eye makeup to slip and how do you ensure it stays put? "Stress, pressure, bright camera lights, running from one location to the next, perspiration and humidity are just a few factors I think about when applying a bride's eye makeup. Eyeshadow primer is the Holy Grail to long-lasting eye makeup. Prime those lids!" How do you make eyes really stand out? "Always wear a pair of lashes. is doesn't mean they have to be dramatic; they can be natural or very dramatic depending on the bride's style and eye shape. I would use more dramatic lashes on a bride with dark hair and darker skin versus using natural lashes on a bride with fair skin and blonde hair. Brows are my absolute favourite and should always be de ned as they are the framing feature of the face." Tip: "Eye prep is important, but overall skin care should be the focus for all brides. Implement a skin-care regimen at least three months prior to your wedding. is routine should include regular facials, beauty sleep and lots of water." rw Nadia Megan Nadia Nadia Shaina p84-85_RealBeauty.indd 85 14-04-17 12:13 PM
