While I appreciate her enthusiasm and am delighted she had fun, I must point out that perhaps the exuberance of the experience got the better of her. What caught my eye is her claim of reaching 200 miles per hour in a Mustang. Even in a 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca, the top speed would be at most 150 mph (243 kilometres per hour). I raced at Gimli Motorsports Park in the '70s and '80s, when I'd also volunteer to take spec- tators around the track in my modified Honda Civic. It was a thrill for me as well to be able to provide that kind of experience to my passen- gers. Reading this article brought back those memories. It makes me happy to read how thrilled she was by the experience, and that she had such an experienced driver as Charlie Putman behind the wheel.
