president's message Westworld now available on iPad BCAA is now pleased to provide you with an iPad edition of Westworld. This new tablet version offers additional content, including expanded photos and videos. Starting next edition, you will have a choice of receiving your copy of Westworld as a print or iPad edition, allowing us to deliver Westworld in the format which works best for you, while saving paper and reducing our carbon footprint. As I prepare to settle down with my Winter edition on my iPad, I find myself thinking about how much technology has changed my life over the years. It wasn't too long ago that I had my first mobile phone. I remember it as being the size of a briefcase and the weight of a brick, but it offered a small taste of the freedom to come. Today, I fully embrace technology, with all my latest Apple gadgets seamlessly connected, from my iPhone to my Mac laptops to my Apple TV. I can honestly say that technology makes my life better and easier. BCAA is using technology to make your life better and easier too. We've enhanced our web and mobile experience; we've improved how you buy home insurance on our website by making it easier to view and navigate; and you can now also buy p06-07_Pres_Message.indd 6 travel insurance on your smartphone. We're also using mobile technology to improve the experience we offer our Members in our service locations. Our greeters in each of our service locations now use an iPad app to gather information to help save you time and give you a more personalized experience. On the play side, I want to spread the word about a new free app that our partner at AAA has made available. TripleSpot (triplespot.com ) is a social guidebook that allows you to capture, organize and discover experiences and unexpected places. Ever notice how the best experiences come from the most unexpected places? Whether you're uncovering great things to do around the corner or planning a cross-country adventure, TripleSpot makes it easy to tell your story and find inspiration in the world around you. So far, I have used it to share my favourite spots along Vancouver's seawall and plan to show off some of the best views from Whistler. Whether you are fully embracing technology or a digital dabbler, enjoy the new iPad version. If you don't already have an iPad it might be another reason to put one on your holiday list.
