M A R C H 2 0 2 1 | 15 Plumbing Products Plumbing products bring comfort and beauty into the home by LAURIE JONES M ore than any other time in recent history, having comfort- able surroundings in homes is extremely important, and adding a dash of style to bathroom areas makes the experience even better. BainUltra found inspiration in the heavens for its newest collection of freestanding baths. Introducing the Celestia 6233 soaker tub, an elegant interpretation of the ethereal loveliness of the night sky. "The Celestia offers a softly feminine esthetic that is also dramatic and powerful," says Julie Metras, marketing operations co-ordinator. " Its sculpture-like composition perfectly incorporates BainUltra's signature comfort and ergonomics to create a luxurious bathing experience that is out of this world." Making the Celestia even more extraordinary is the fact that this tub is the first to be offered in FineStone, the brand's new high-quality solid surface mate- rial that pushes the limits of design and technology. Comprised of refined minerals and pure liquid acrylic, FineStone offers a new level of design possibilities. Not only does it offer exceptional insulation properties to keep bathwater warm longer, the material is extremely durable, light, and colour resistant, and has a nonporous surface that is naturally hygienic and easy to clean. The Celestia is the first BainUltra tub made with FineStone to be available in the 62-inch by 33-inch by 24-inch size, with gener- ous accommodations that allow bathers to stretch out and relax while soaking. "The tub features two integrated armrests and a comfortably angled backrest for supreme comfort," says Metras. The new Adel 2 by MTI Baths makes smart use of limited quarters and offers an infusion of therapies to create the ultimate spa-worthy experience right at home. "As part of MTI's Designer Collection, the Adel 2 is a chic freestanding tub with clean, organic lines and a thin lip with integrated faucet deck," says Michael Kornowa, director of marketing. "It's available as a soaker or air bath, both featuring ergonomic interiors for sublime comfort and indulgent options to soothe the senses such as chromatherapy and thermal therapy." Measuring 57 inches by 31 inches by 22 inches, the Adel 2 can easily fit into an existing 60-inch alcove, making the tub a smart choice for remodelling projects with simple installation. An alternate soaker tub choice from MTI is the Cassandra, offered as a soaker tub or an air bath version with 20 floor-installed jets and a waterproof remote con- trol. Holding up to 77 gallons of water and measuring 72 inches by 38 inches by 22 inches, the tub is generously sized to comfortably accommodate up to two bathers. Masco Canada has introduced a new kitchen collaboration with Brizo and Jason Wu. "Our relationship with Jason Wu started in 2006, and over the years our collaboration has evolved from producing the Jason Wu Bath Collection to expanding to the new Jason Wu Kitchen Collection," says Andrea Goertz, senior product manager for fashion plumbing for Brizo. "Jason's forward-thinking sense of style continues to enrich and influence the Brizo brand's unique, fashion-centric approach to design." The Jason Wu for Brizo Kitchen Collection offers a suite of products that brings fashion into the home. The collection includes: pull-down kitchen faucet; pull-down prep faucet; bar faucet; and soap/lotion dispenser. Also new from Masco Canada is the Mirolin freestanding tub. "Freestanding baths are an increasingly popular design and self-care feature that homeowners are adding to their bathrooms," says Goertz. "Drawing on over four decades of excellence, Mirolin bathing solutions offer beautifully designed products that provide functionality, enjoyment, and style."
