Variety – The Children's Charity granted $78,000 to the Foundation this year in support of new equipment for the hospital's maternity ward. The grant has made it possible for the Foundation to purchase two new isolettes and a mobile infant resuscitation warming unit. Variety's executive director Bernice Scholten noted, "We are committed to giving our most critically ill babies the best start." …help fund new medical equipment Watch for the Foundation's Spring Appeal arriving soon in your mailbox. Please give generously. Every year, the Foundation invests $500,000 to $1 million dollars in new medical equipment for Peace Arch Hospital. This year, the Foundation's board of directors has approved a request from Fraser Health for $530,000 to purchase equipment that would otherwise not be available at Peace Arch Hospital. The impact of this investment will be felt in virtually every corner of our hospital thanks to the generosity of Foundation donors. The BiPAP V60 ventilator (see the full story on page 12) is one of the many vital equipment acquisitions made possible by the Foundation. …create a quiet sanctuary Peace Arch Hospital's Sacred Space has recently relocated to the main floor of the hospital, and offers a place of quiet reflection and worship for people of all denominations and beliefs. Donor dollars helped fund the furnishings for this quiet sanctuary, which is open to all staff and visitors to Peace Arch Hospital.
