, president'smessage RELAX, WE'VE GOT IT COVERED – FIVE SMALL words that mean a lot to every one of our 1,000 BCAA employees. That's because these words guide and inform the way we do business every day, as we strive to ensure each experience you have with us is an amazing one. Take BCAA's home insurance coverage. For almost 40 years we've helped protect British Columbians' biggest investments from such calamities as fire, theft, windstorms and water damage. In fact, we're one of the largest home insurance providers in the province. Here's why: First, we've got it covered in terms of how you can do business with us. Those who want to meet in person with an insurance representative can visit one of 27 sales centres throughout the province. Prefer doing business by phone? We're available six days a week, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Or, if online is the go-to option, there's BCAA's newly redesigned, interactive, easy-to-use website. Second, we've got it covered when it 6 WESTWORLD p06-07_Pres.Mess..indd 6 >> comes to special home insurance benefits – with Member-exclusive discounts of five to 15 per cent, depending on how long you've been with us. We also reward long-time Members and non-Members who are claimsfree with lower deductibles and one-claim forgiveness benefits. And, BCAA's exclusive, optional water coverage provides the most comprehensive water damage protection available for your home. Third, if you ever need to file a claim, we're there when you need us most. In the aftermath of one of 2009's forest fires in the Kelowna area, BCAA's adjuster didn't let road closures stop her from reaching Members at risk of losing their homes. She hitched a ride by boat and sped up Okanagan Lake to answer questions and calm worries about coverage. Another example is a recent North Vancouver apartment fire that saw residents evacuated to a parked bus – from where many tried to reach their insurance companies by phone. But BCAA's adjuster was right there on the bus, helping Members through the ordeal in person. He even used his credit card to book a hotel room for a family whose card had been left behind in the fire. Of course, BCAA home insurance is just one of the ways we've got you covered.
