Over the next six
months, how likely is it
that each of the following
will happen to you?
The pessimism of Vancouver
Islanders knows no bounds.
Overall, British Columbians weren't
terribly confident big things would
happen to them in 2015: 11 per cent
thought it likely they'd be promoted
in the next six months, 26 per cent
thought they'd get a raise, 20 per
cent thought they'd change careers,
and 17 per cent thought they'd move
to another house. On the Island, cut
those numbers in about half, with
a mere four per cent of Islanders
thinking they'd get a promotion and
10 per cent changing careers.

... or purchasing each of the following?
In the past
couple of
months,
how often
have you
worried
about
each of the
following?
Most of us, it would appear,
are not the worrying type.
But for those who are, the
value of our investments
ranks number one (with 29
per cent saying we've worried
at least occasionally about
them). Other worries? Our
ability to pay the bills (28
per cent), the safety of our
savings (25 per cent) and hav-
ing somebody in our family,
including ourselves, becom-
ing unemployed (25 per cent).
