On balance, not a bad picture for hiring in 2015: three in 10 business leaders (30 per cent) say their company will hire more employees in the next 12 months, while just 16 per cent expect to see a reduction in the number of employees. Thinking about the next six months, do you expect the price of each of the following items to go up, stay about the same or go down? According to pollster Canseco, "I've been asking this question since 2008 in Canada and B.C. Every single time, gasoline came out as the main thing that residents expect to be more expensive. Not this year." A whopping 79 per cent of residents expect "a week's worth of gro- ceries" to be more expensive, while lower proportions expect more expensive gasoline (58 per cent) and real estate (53 per cent).
