French-born Axelle D'Anglemont married Okanagan native David Bazett on July 4, 2014 at Immaculate
Conception Church in Kelowna, complete with an RCMP ceremonial guard welcoming guests inside. After their
traditional ceremony, the newlyweds escaped to St. Hubertus Estate Winery for some quiet time alone to soak in
the emotion of their day. "I remember the moment of reaching up to David's Stetson hat precisely," says Axelle of
this precious image captured by their photographer, Randal Kurt (randalkurt.com). "When I was growing up, once
my family had moved to Canada, my godfather (who has since passed away) had always had an affection for the
Canadian Mountie and would say he wanted a Stetson hat of his own. In that moment, I was reminiscing and
telling David about how my godfather would have loved to be here to see him in his red serge."
