The big news this year has been the
$70-million reno of the Fairmont
Kea Lani (fairmont.com/kealani),
Hawaii's only all-suite and villa
oceanfront resort. Translation: it's
optimized for families. The luxury
suites are all 860-square-foot units
with a fridge, kitchen sink and
microwave for groups without
much patience for sit-down meals,
especially when tempted by the
hotel's cultural programs. Leave
your little ones for an hour or three
to make leis or stargaze and you'll
still be within earshot at the new
poolside Ama Bar and Grill.
