Today, in addition to housing the offices of the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield, current lieutenant-governor of Saskatchewan, the multi-purpose heritage facility is also a popular tourist attraction and favourite venue for the annual CAA Saskatche- wan School Safety Patrol Jamboree. But did you know that many women throughout the years have added to the significance of Government House? e building's cur- rent exhibit, Jewels of the Crown: Women of Government House cele- brates six such figures: Henriette Forget (1898-1910), Edina Newlands (1921-1930), Edith McNab (1936-1945), Dr. Sylvia Fedoruk (1988-1994), Dr. Lynda Haverstock (2000-2006) and Schofield (2012-present). The cou- ple, who operate a mixed cattle and grain farm in partner- ship with Aaron's parents, will compete against six other regional winners at the national event in Quebec, November 26-30, 2014.
