STREAM oF DREAMS
The Stream of Dreams program teaches students
about local fish habitat and how to protect it. The
Pacific Salmon Foundation has been a longtime
supporter, funding four projects in 2013.
BC Hydro underwrote $10,000 in grants for two of
the projects in the Courtenay/Comox region.

partnered with Goldcorp and Port Metro
Vancouver for grants totalling $67,500 to
rebuildtheKanakaEducationandEnvironmental

in education, stewardship, community engagement
and research couldn't happen without the hatchery.
Not to mention, the hatchery is the reason fish
continue to return and keep the watershed

Thanks to a $300,000 grant over three years
from the Sitka Foundation, the Pacific Salmon
Foundation is creating a Strait of Georgia Data
Centre at the University of British Columbia.
Currently there is no centralized space for
safekeeping or accessing old and new research
on the Strait. The centre will serve the public,
scientists, foundations and government. Success
in developing
this system will
ensure awareness
of past research,
facilitate future
study and could

species.
Thank you.
Donations to the Pacific Salmon
Foundation support projects that address
salmon conservation, restoration and
enhancement across the province. These
individuals and organizations have made
cumulative donations of $100,000 or
more to the Foundation.
