Eventually, Corrine secured a Crown Counsel position in the Lower Mainland and made
the move to Vancouver, allowing the couple to begin moving forward with their life together.
By September 2008, the newly minted lawyers were sharing a Vancouver apartment
while they focused on their careers. It would be another two years before David popped the
question. "I always knew Corrine was the person I wanted to marry, but I was waiting for the
right time, the right situation," he says. "Then I realized, there is no perfect time."
