Luxury Meets Simplicity A LOOK AT THE NEWEST OFFERINGS IN BATHTUBS AND SHOWERS by Laurie Jones T The 2012 options available in bath and shower products for designers and consumers encompasses a wide range of styles from old-world charm to stunning creativity. Kohler Co. launched its 60- by 30-inch Bellwether bath at the 2012 International Builders' Show, featuring an updated esthetic, durable enameled cast iron material that is sized for easy installation into standard bathtub alcoves. "The Bellwether bath features are exceptionally stylish with contemporary, clean lines that easily coordinate with a variety of products and décor," says Kevin Gannon, bathing product manager for Kohler Co. "By itting into the standard bathtub alcove, it offers a nice upgrade option for remodels, and an easy it into standard hospitality and residential layouts." Wide front and back ledges – 2.5 inches each – provide storage for toiletries and accessories. A 14-inch step-over threshold offers easy access to and from the bath for people who require a lower step-over, and also makes the bath ADA-compliant for hospitality settings. Composed entirely of quality Kohler enameled cast iron, the Bellwether bath is durable and elegant. These bathtubs are available in vibrant, rich colours and graceful designs that coordinate beautifully with a variety of décors. BainUltra, inventor of the Thermomasseur® bath, has introduced INUA™, the latest evolution in the TMU line of therapeutic baths. Made from materials carefully selected for multiple properties, this durable, waterproof backrest is resistant to different types of mould and direct sunlight. "What truly sets Inua apart is its unsurpassed comfort – it adjusts to the bather's back then returns to its original shape." The gentle curves of the decking boost overall comfort.
