"I was probably spending more time studying than thinking about the wedding." They also wanted a summer wedding. This gave them a six-month window of opportunity. Within three weeks of their engagement, they'd booked Cecil Green Park House as their venue, and June 5th, 2011 as their date. Next came the daunting task of planning their wedding in the midst of upcoming exams, travelling to find a residency match, and a month in South Africa. Beyond securing the venue, they had little more than a feel of what they wanted the wedding day to be like. "We wanted an intimate, romantic feel," says Kavita, "a smaller event with the people who meant a lot to us, with candles, flowers and an outdoor celebration." They contacted Lori Fraser in January to bring it all together. "When I met with them, they had no concrete ideas and no time," Lori recalls. "They were away all of March, so we had to make the time we had work." Lori assembled a team that included Sandy Godfree of Art of the Party. Lori told Kavita to send pictures of decor items she liked. "I put together a vision board and we went to Sandy with colour ideas and options," says Lori.
