Later this year, EY will celebrate
30 years of its Entrepreneur
of the Year – Pacific Region
competition.
BCBusiness has
had the pleasure of profiling the
winners every year. We'll do that
once again in November, but, in
this issue, we're looking back at
some notable past winners.
THE EY ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR – PACIFIC
Region competition has crowned some very worthy
winners over the last 29 years. In fact, if you look at the
last four overall Canadian winners, three of them—Aisha
Yang and Musharaf Syed of Herbaland, AbCellera's
Carl Hansen and Geoff Chutter of WhiteWater West
Industries—came from the Pacific Region.
In honour of 30 years of EOY, we're taking a look back
in this issue at some of the luminaries who have been
honoured with the award and what they've been up to
since. As 2011 EOY winner Diane Johnson says, being an
entrepreneur isn't always easy. But ask any past winner
and they'll almost certainly tell you that it's worth it.
