Emerald Green
Offering a bold take on Pantone's colour of the year, emerald green,
Faith Magallanes of Bluebird Cakery designed a cake with a
contemporary ombre look, featuring pleating and ruffles made from
house-made marshmallow fondant. The top three tiers are comprised
of dark chocolate cake, raspberry pastry cream, crushed pineapple,
milk crunch and raspberry buttercream. The bottom two feature
coconut cake, lime curd, coconut crunch and mango buttercream.

Designer Gloria Cheung of The Flower Factory created a lush mix
of green using cymbidium orchids, green disbud mums, hypericum
berries, small succulents, ranunculus and roses, plus emeraldcoloured glass gems and some textured pieris japonica. The handle
ties in 2013's hot Pantone shade with its rich emerald-green satin
wrapping. The result is a classic posy shape, but with a slightly sleek,
