GRILLS AND GUITARS WILL BE
smoking at Manitoba's second annual meat and
greet, the Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival. Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (a nonprofit organization dedicated to all things barbecue),
the festival serves up feasts – think pulled pork,
St. Louis ribs, chicken and beef brisket – prepared by
North America's leading barbecue competitors as
well as talented amateurs. They'll be vying for
$10,000 in prize money and the Winnipeg Pit
Masters Championship title, which guarantees an
invite to the Jack Daniels World Championship
Invitational Barbecue Competition in Lynchburg,
Tennessee. At the Red River Exhibition Park,
August 16-18, 2013.
