INVESTING IN
TOMORROW'S STEWARDS

RBC IN THE SALISH SEA
PSF received a $25,000 grant from the RBC Foundation. Funds
will be designated to the Salish Sea Marine Survival Project,
targeting habitat restoration projects that will help ensure the
survival of young salmon in local waters.
THE REEL DEAL
For every donation of at least $100, donors will receive an entry to
win this handcrafted reel donated by PEETZ Outdoors. Only 90
limited-edition reels were created; this is one of only six additional
proofs signed by the artist, Jason Henry Hunt. The artwork tells of
the sea wolf, which in one First Nations legend is an orca ancestor.
"The sea wolf is a unique
subspecies of grey wolf that
lives primarily in the Great
Bear Rainforest of British
Columbia," explains
Marc Hoelsher, owner
of PEETZ. "This
wolf is unique in its
willingness to swim
miles between islands
in search of new
territory and hunting
grounds. The future of
the sea wolf is directly
connected to the health
of Pacific salmon stocks, as
more than 25 per cent of its diet
consists of salmon and other fish."
PEETZ donates these reels to charities
like PSF, and they frequently generate
upwards of $5,000 per unit via fundraising
auctions. peetzoutdoors.com/artistseries
