Last July, I was enjoying a glorious hike on the
Acadian Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park,
Nova Scotia, with no one else on the trail, when I came
across this handsome moose. I spoke to him softly,
hoping he wouldn't feel threatened. As it turned out,
he stood patiently, allowing me to take a few photos.
The moment was exciting, intimate and peaceful – one
I will never forget."
