Harbourfront, brokers, industry partners and service
providers gathered once again for two days of
networking, learning and a fair bit of partying. e
theme of this third annual CMBA-Atlantic Conference
& Trade Show was one that no doubt speaks to the
concerns of brokers across Canada: "Chart Your
Course – Navigating the Seas of Change." In the wake
of major regulatory changes, a meeting of industry
minds was welcome and, indeed, necessary. Seminars
included "Understanding Capital Markets," "Change Is
Afloat in Social Media. Are You Ready?" and "Political
Action – Set Your Own Course," as well as a special
presentation for "Brokering Wishes," CMBA-Atlantic's
ongoing partnership with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Finally, keynote speaker Dennis Campbell, CEO of
Ambassatours, took to the stage to close things out with
his own inspiring story of overcoming hardship using
"vision, knowledge, a sense of humour and a strong
work ethic."
