FEBRUA RY 2018 | 19 Plumbing Products Revolutionizing the way we flush, American Standard's innovative VorMax flushing technology cleans two times better than conventional toilets by leveraging reinvented flush hydraulics patented by American Standard engineers. Conventional toilets only employ 30 percent of water used in a flush to rinse the bowl clean, while the rest (70 per- cent) is needed to start the siphon and pull the waste out. The VorMax flush flips the ratio of water so 70 percent is used to rinse the bowl clean and the smaller amount (30 percent) siphons and removes waste. Both toilets are consuming the standard 1.28 gallons of water, but how it is delivered to the bowl is unique with VorMax. Additionally, the VorMax UHET (ultra-high efficiency toilet) model offers a low-flow 1.0 gpf while maintaining the highest bulk removal score on the Maximum Performance (MaP) test by successfully flushing 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) of waste – the only one in the industry to do so. "The revolutionary technology demonstrated by American Standard's VorMax flush is like no other in the market," says Chris Hanson, product manager, chinaware, American Standard Canada. "With every flush, VorMax guarantees a cleaner bowl than standard toilets, which saves time on cleaning and offers a more hygienic experience." This flushing power is paired with American Standard's brand-exclusive CleanCurve Rim that omits holes inside the bowl where dirt gets trapped, allowing the water to reach the top of the bowl and scrub it clean. Providing personalized comfort with Right Height (16-1⁄2 inch) elongated bowl configura- tions, and employing dual injection flush valves and a 2-1⁄16-inch trapway, these WaterSense-certified toilets come with a 10-year warranty. To enhance its ever-evolving product portfolio, Delta Faucet unveiled the HydroRain two-in-one shower head, delivering a luxurious, full-coverage water experience to consumers. "With the option to use the raincan shower, the fixed shower head, or both showers simultaneously, the HydroRain system offers complete shower control and increased bathing flexibility," says Luciano Marone, builder/designer specialist, trade sales, Masco Canada Ltd. "Consumers today are seeking spa-like shower experiences at home that are both functional and attain- able. The HydroRain shower head is an ideal, affordable option to meet that need with a raincan shower head that pivots 40 degrees for broadened coverage and dual configuration to provide soaking water coverage." Designed to fit a standard shower arm, the HydroRain shower head can be installed in minutes for a quick and simple bath upgrade. The shower head is WaterSense labelled and flows at a rate of 2.0 gallons per minute (gpm), providing 20 percent water savings when compared to industry standards. "This is all achieved without sacrificing the comfort and convenience of the user experience or the durability and lifespan of the product," says Marone. Additionally, touch-clean soft, rubber spray holes ensure easy removal of calcium and lime build-up from the spray face with the touch of a finger. Currently available in five spray settings – full spray, massage spray, full spray with massage, shampoo rinsing spray and pause – the HydroRain two-in-one shower head is offered in Chrome, Brilliance Stainless, Venetian Bronze and Polished Nickel finishes. Bradley Corporation's OmniDeck with Washbar continues to be popular this year. It is a completely touchless all-in-one handwashing system with clean+rinse+dry functionality. This design integrates the customizable OmniDeck washbasin with soap, water and dryer housed in the WashBar fixture. "The OmniDeck with WashBar is designed and manufactured with the environment and sustainability as key priorities," says Kris Alderson, senior marketing manager, Bradley Corp. "In addition to using the water reclamation process during manufacturing, Bradley chose sustainable materials and technol- ogy for the product's design. "In addition, the all-in-one WashBar on top of the basin is made of a single piece of chrome-plated stainless steel. Its built-in smart technology features water, energy and paper saving features. Specifically, the WashBar features a 0.5 gpm or ultra-high efficient 0.35 faucet option. Its adjustable speed hand dryer dries hands in 12 to 15 seconds with a comfortable heated air stream. The dryer is 96 percent less expensive to use than paper towels and eliminates paper towel waste." VorMax flushing technology from American Standard.
