Additionally, Whirlpool is designing home appliances that are focused on improv- ing how families may get the care and selection they need with the latest technologies and inno- vations. "These units offer flexible refrig- eration storage, LCD touchscreen, induction technology for effi- cient cooking and easier cleaning or small space laundry solutions to fit your needs and space," she says. The new Whirlpool designs are sleek and con- temporary in style with multiple colours and finishes, from Traditional Elegance that offers a fingerprint resistant finish and a beautiful black stainless steel to the European-inspired design features in the stunning new Sunset Bronze. Since 1954, Tasco Appliances has been providing designers and home buyers with high-end appliances that reflect the latest design trends, so that they can turn their dream kitchens into reality. The newest appliance to hit Tasco show- room floors to push design boundaries is the AGA Elise 48-inch induction range. Inspired by French design, the AGA Elise is an elegant and dynamic centrepiece for a variety of kitchen styles, from traditional to modern. "I love the fact that AGA has infused a vintage 1920s French style with the mod- ern technology of induction," says Cerrone Nandalal, product manager for Tasco Appliances. "They're really the first brand to do that, and it's really exciting." Unlike traditional gas cooktops, induction cooktops use 90 percent of the available heat from the burner making them more efficient than gas burners that only use 55 percent. The range is also equipped with three separate ovens including a large European convection oven, a spacious multifunction oven, and a broiler system. "It's such a versatile range," says Nandalal. "It offers our customers the oppor- tunity to introduce a unique piece into their kitchen design, while still providing them with the functionality they need." The unique Kompakt Kitchen from Euro-Line Appliances features six appli- ances – dishwasher, sink and faucet, two burner induction cooktop, glide-out range hood, speed oven, and fridge/freezer – all in a six-foot space. "We wanted to provide the market with an entire functional kitchen option that can fit into a six- foot space," says Mark Eglington, president. "The design can also accommodate a ventless washer and dryer combination laundry appliance. Perfect for a condo, in- law suite, boat, or cottage. Now you don't have to sacrifice quality for space." The Porter & Charles speed oven with the versatility and convenience of both a microwave oven and convection oven offers many features to meet different needs. The unique two burner induction cooktops offer fast and responsive cooking while saving energy. The ergonomically-designed Liebherr 24-inch, fully-integrated fridge/freezer provides ample storage room and ultimate freshness. A Porter & Charles compact dishwater features near-silent operation using less water. GE has crafted an extension of the highly sought-after Slate finish with the launch of Black Slate. This new bold finish is designed to add distinction and durability to any kitchen. "Black Slate is the newest addition to GE's line-up of appliance finishes," says Bob Park, chief brand officer, GE Appliances. "This dark matte finish is versatile enough to match nearly any décor, yet striking enough to command just the right amount of attention. The matte texture hides fingerprints and virtually eliminates smudges, keeping your appliances looking clean." Available exclusively on select GE Cafe models, Black Slate's deep charcoal colour perfectly complements the stainless steel, chef-inspired accents found on GE Cafe appliances. Adding to the range of offerings by GE, the Wi-Fi Connect app allows consum- ers to control and monitor appliances from their phone, including stove, washer and dishwasher.
