Charity events offer fun for anglers & funds for salmon projects Located on British Columbia's Central Coast, Rivers Inlet is home to all five species of Pacific salmon, including the famed Wannock Chinook. With these huge fish often weighing in at more than 50 pounds, it's a popular spot for anglers. This year, the Pacific Salmon Foundation embarked on a partnership with Duncanby Lodge, Good Hope Cannery, the Wuikinuxv Nation and other local businesses to restore local salmon runs through the newly built Percy Walkus Hatchery. Last year, about 20 anglers and friends of the Foundation, including Rick Hansen, travelled to Duncanby Lodge for a fundraising fishing trip. The trip was an outstanding success, raising significant funds towards various restoration and enhancement activities for the new hatchery.
