New colours, classic looks and a combination of both are now available for the discerning buyer. Homeowners and designers alike are giving in to the dark side, and are looking for black fixtures to com- plete the kitchen and bathroom. In response to this demand, Moen Canada has expanded its Align suite to now offer kitchen faucets, lavatory faucets, tub/show- ering and accessories in matte black. "Consumers want unique finishes that make a state- ment. Matte black offers a contemporary look that complements a variety of décor choices, and allows homeowners to experiment with fresh ideas," says Garry Scott, VP, wholesale marketing and brand devel- opment, Moen Canada. "Align is the perfect option for a crisp, modern look." The Align collection features chic, cylindrical, geo- metric shapes for not only a stylish solution, but a func- tional one, as well. The pulldown kitchen faucets have a spout designed with a streamlined appearance. "The two-function pulldown wand allows users to switch the water flow from aerated stream to spray with the push of a button, providing added convenience," says Scott. Another thoughtfully designed element is the opti- mized handle design, for maximum handle-to-back- splash clearance, assuring a full range of temperature control even when installed near the backsplash. Kohler has released the beautiful Vibrant Rose Gold finish to its sleek and modern Purist single-handle faucet – an unexpected centrepiece that pairs nicely with both neutral tones and dark and bold bathrooms. "The Vibrant Rose Gold finish was premiered at KBIS 2017 and the reaction was very positive," says Donna Church, marketing and communications manager for Kohler Canada. "It's a great way to introduce colour and glamour into the bathroom." The stunning faucet is made to last with solid brass construction for durability and reliability. The sin- gle-control operation allows the faucet to be turned on and off at any temperature setting for convenient hand-washing. Changing rooms, Kohler's Sensate kitchen faucet takes touchless to a whole new level of convenience. Incorporating Response technology, it's designed to provide reliable operation with a simple wave of the hand and prevent false activations. "Clients are always interested in simplifying their daily routines," says Church. Not only does the touchless feature speed up all tasks, but tough messes are no longer a problem with the powerful sweep spray, delivering a strong blade of water to wash dishes and clean sinks. American Standard's NextGen Selectronic com- mercial faucet with SmarTherm Safety Shut-Off is an innovative technology that integrates a thermo- static hot water temperature limiter into the faucet. "SmarTherm is ASSE 1070-certified and automatically protects the user from scalding in case of a hot water surge or interruption to the cold water," says Michael Del Guidice, marketing director Canada, LIXIL Water Technology Canada. "This exceptional technology eliminates the need for a separate TMV to ensure ASSE 1070 protection." Del Guidice notes the NextGen Selectronic commer- cial faucet from American Standard also includes an above-deck mixing handle, which allows each user to adjust the water temperature to fit their needs. "The NextGen faucet features clean lines and a sleek design for an elevated style in the bathroom. The inte- grated electronics locates the sensor, battery and sole- noid valve in the faucet spout and eliminates the need for a control box," says Del Guidice. Additional features for this product include a 0.35 gpm, which saves 84 percent of water usage when compared to a 2.2 gpm faucet, the 0.5 gpm saves 77 percent with the same comparison and the 1.5 gpm saves 32 percent.
