My husband and I, along with our daughter, her
husband and our three grandchildren, visited Iceland last
summer as a 'roots' journey for our family, who emigrated
to Canada from Iceland in the late 1800s. On a Golden Circle
Tour from Reykjavík, we encountered Icelandic horses
(a registered breed). These beautiful animals, with long,
flowing manes and expressive eyes, readily came to us for
attention and a nose rub."
