Gustavson School of Business. Don spent more than three decades in the technology sector, turning start-ups into major firms and setting sector, turning start-ups into major firms and setting the standard for video game development in North America. He has previously held positions as the CEO of Zynga; President of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft overseeing the exponential growth of the Xbox 360 and PC gaming businesses; President of Worldwide Studios for Electronic Arts (EA); and co-founder and CEO of Distinctive Software Inc., which became EA Canada. Don is co-chair of the Premier's Technology Council and has served on several public and private boards, including the advisory board for USC School of Cinematic Arts. Don is an Honorary Fellow with the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and holds an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Simon Fraser University. The Gustavson School of Business celebrates entrepreneurial excellence with its annual Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award recognizes an inspirational entrepreneur who has had a significant and positive impact on the global community through their business leadership. Don will be celebrated on May 8, 2017 at a black tie gala in Victoria, BC.
