FEBRUA RY 2017 | 25 Plumbing Products The latest in product innovation from Delta Faucet Canada is its MultiChoice Integrated Shower Diverter. "With a new combination rough that provides stream- lined shower styles, this unique product eliminates the need for an additional diverter valve and leverages the market-proven Delta MultiChoice Universal Valve platform for flexibility in installation and increased functionality," says Luciano Marone, builder sales representative at Masco Canada. "Once the rough is installed, future shower style and functionality changes can be made without altering the plumbing behind the wall." With separate controls in one trim, the Integrated Shower Diverter is available in 3- and 6-setting options with a one-piece forged valve body available with and without stops. "And, because there's no need to alter plumbing behind the wall, you save time, effort and money on future renovation updates," Marone says. Offered in Chrome, Brilliance Stainless and Venetian Bronze finishes, the diverter is available in three style options: Traditional – which co-ordinates with Delta Cassidy, Victorian and Linden col- lections; Contemporary Round – which co-ordinates with Delta Trinsic, Compel and Tesla collections; and Angular Modern – which co-ordinates with Delta Ara, Zura, Dryden, Vero and Ashlyn collections. Behind the scenes – or rather, behind the wall – exciting new develop- ments are happening, too. IPEX Inc. offers a broad variety of products for plumbing and mechanical applications. "The company's complete, inte- grated solutions are used in commercial, institutional, industrial and resi- dential construction," says Paul Agapito, marketing project manager. "Our products for plumbing and mechanical applications include piping systems for pota- ble water, water service, drain, waste and vent [DWV], flue gas venting (FGV) and fire protection." A product developed by IPEX is AquaRise, a hot and cold potable water (CPVC) piping system available in ½-inch to four-inch diameters. "Unlike metal piping which may pit, scale and degrade over time, AquaRise's rugged thicker walls and excellent corrosion resistance ensure years of consistent flow and maintenance- free performance, even in demanding hot water recirculation applications," says Agapito. He adds that because of the advanced materials and rugged design, AquaRise provides "a long-term pressure rating of 400 psi at 73-degrees Fahrenheit and 150 psi at 160-degrees Fahrenheit." Listed to the CAN/ULC-S102.2 standard, AquaRise achieved a Flame Spread rating of not more than 25 and a Smoke Development classification of not more than 50. "Unlike competitive products, AquaRise does not need insula- tion to achieve certification," says Agapito. AquaRise is code compliant to the sev- eral sections of the National Building Code of Canada, including high buildings, air plenums and non-combustible buildings. Also available from IPEX is the Gold901, a lightweight 200 psi rated water service tubing that can be used on both the municipal and private-side of a proj- ect. This tube features sequential markings, superior flow rates and high pres- sure rating. "Gold901 is manufactured to Copper Tube Size from High-Density Polyethylene and is third-party certified," says Agapito.
