Recognizing that the new organization would need an identifying
brand, the MBABC assigned the MB logo to the CMBA. Now, the
symbol is a universal representation of mortgage brokers across
Canada, appearing regularly in regional television and print advertising
campaigns in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, as well as in B.C. "It
differentiates our members," said Soni. "e use of the branding is
strictly controlled and is only available for individual members to use.
We want to ensure the logo, along with associated collateral, brings
maximum value to each member."
Soni pointed out that national CMBA membership is included
when a mortgage broker joins an affiliated provincial association, and
said use of the MB logo alone is a fantastic reason to join the
national group. "One of the CMBA's goals is to promote the use of
member mortgage brokers and increase their market share," he added.
"is will benefit all industry partners and bring greater benefit to
mortgage consumers."
Today, a year and half aer the CMBA was launched, the MB logo
is gaining ground with mortgage consumers. "Obtaining a mortgage
is the single biggest financial transaction most Canadians will make,"
concluded Soni. "Your best mortgage advice comes from a mortgage
broker. Our message to consumers is to look for the MB – the
identifying mark of the professional mortgage broker."
