(6,80 kg) in MVER, or 85 per cent relative humidity. This single-component, 100 per cent solids, moisture-cure urethane sys- tem is excellent for all types of wood flooring, including exotics and bamboo. "Ultrabond ECO 995 can be used in a single-coat application method that pro- vides a superior bond and moisture vapour emission control on concrete slabs. Ultrabond ECO 995 also provides sound-reduction properties, making it suitable for use in multi-unit housing projects," says Jeff Johnson, business manager for MAPEI's Floor Covering Installation System. Ultrabond ECO 995 utilizes MAPEI's "greenest" technology and naturally renew- able resources, resulting in a low-odour, phthalate-free installation with negligible VOC content. With a long history of creating trans- formative innovation, Bostik Canada maintains a selection of popular hard- wood flooring adhesives. "We had great success with the Thickness Control Spacer Technology and Bostik's Best, but last year's global Axios technology, the next wave of innovation, continues our industry-leading position of offer- ing smart solutions that make install- ers as productive and profitable as possible," says Mike Jenkins, business director, consumer and construction business unit. Also maintaining sales growth are the two product formulations of Axios Tri-Linking Polymer Technology engi- neered for hardwood flooring instal- lations – Ultra-Set SingleStep2 and GreenForce. "The Ultra-Set SingleStep2 is a high-performance adhesive, mois- ture control and sound reduction membrane all in one," says Jenkins. "It contains the SoundGuard sound reduc- tion barrier, which outperforms quar- ter-inch-thick cork underlayment. It also contains Bostik's patent-pending Thickness Control Spacer Technology. GreenForce delivers the superior bond- ing, unlimited moisture vapour pro- tection and the ease of cleaning [before and after curing] offered by Axios tech- nology." He adds that GreenForce is ideal for jobs where sound reduction and membrane thickness control aren't primary considerations. Maxxon Corporation is constantly striving to meet the evolving f loor challenges facing the construction industry and is continuing this pur- suit with the launch of three innova- tive new sound control mats. "Maxxon is excited to introduce the Acousti-Mat HP series of high-performance sound control mats," says Nicole Hills, mar- keting manager. "Acousti-Mat II HP, Enkasonic HP and Acousti-Mat 3 HP provide upgraded sound control through the addition of a high-performance acoustical fabric that is laminated to the bottom of the mat's entangled mesh core." Topped with a high-strength Maxxon underlayment, Acousti-Mat II HP increases the acoustical performance of a wood floor/ceiling assembly by up to 16 IIC points and up to 20 points over concrete construction. Enkasonic HP increases the IIC lev- els of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 18 points over wood frame construction and up to 25 points over concrete construction. Acousti-Mat 3 HP increases the IIC levels of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 22 points over wood-frame construc- tion and up to 30 in concrete construction (vs no mat). "Both the Acousti-Mat II HP and the Enkasonic HP only require a one-inch mat, while the Acousti-Mat 3 HP has a one-and-a-half reinforced topping," says Hills. A Ultrabond ECO 995 from MAPEI Inc.
