Salmon Foundation — in
the Salish Sea and many
other scientific, educational and
fundraising initiatives across B.C.
and the Yukon — simply would not
be possible without the support
and collaboration of a diverse
array of stakeholders. Each has an
integral role to play in ensuring
Pacific salmon are able to thrive in
B.C., and each possesses a unique
history with and connection to
Pacific salmon that's driving them
to safeguard this essential natural
resource. Part of the Foundation's
goal with Salmon Steward has
been to shine a richly deserved
spotlight on our partners and their
contributions; here, we give them a
platform to explain the importance
of their work in their own words.
This issue's Voices for Salmon
include: a prominent advisor to First
Nations governments; a partnership
between a community steward and
a salmon scientist; a representa-
tive from a critical fundraising
NGO; and a major donor from the
recreational fisheries sector.
