on a peaceful trail Bob married Deanne Veitch, daughter of then Whitecaps GM Denny Veitch, while playing on the team. Just before the wedding, they bought a five- bedroom house in North Vancouver. "That was 34 years ago. It was a big investment but thank goodness we went ahead." The property borders a forested trail with a creek. "It's very quiet here, and we have direct access to walk our dogs." The home's history The house's former owner was well- known 1950s music booking agent and talent promoter, Les Vogt. "Red Robinson told me that he and celebrities like Roy Orbison used to spend time here." dining with the Lenarduzzis "Growing up in an Italian family, my father came home from work as my mother was putting dinner on the table; we ate and talked together as my father poured a glass of his homemade wine. I wanted to imitate that in this home." The dining room's solid wood table seats 12 and was part of that vision. "It's a focal point of the house." Even though the couple's two grown children have moved away, they still come home for dinner every Sunday. Bob's favourite memory in the home "We hosted our son Ryan's wedding in the backyard last July. The basketball court became a dance floor. Dinner for 80 was set up around our outdoor pool; we thought someone would end up in it, but it didn't happen."
