Innovation in Exploration
Monday, January 25 | Afternoon
Innovations in exploration are fresh ideas
that can provide geologists with new and
improved strategies, tools and techniques
in their pursuit of new ore deposits.
These innovations are widespread and
varied, and include exploration vec-
toring based on zoned alteration assem-
blages; improved and deeper-looking
geophysical techniques and inversions;
rapid and cost-effective multi-element
geochemical techniques; and cheaper,
deeper and directional drilling. This
session will focus on recent exploration
innovations by providing several notable
examples from the fields of drilling, geo-
physics and lithogeochemical modelling.
The right tools. The right people.
