OCTOBER 2015 | 25 Faucets With the rocker-diverter, users can easily switch back and forth between two spray settings without turning off the water, while the high spout makes filling pots, rinsing dishes and washing the sink all the more convenient. "The unique cube design makes this faucet a stand-out in the market," says Dixon. "We sought to develop a quality semi-professional faucet with an architectural feel. The crisp, clean lines make every element of Eurocube Semi Pro cubical, down to design details like the lever cut-out and cubical spray face. The faucet has a very distinctive look, complemented by the features that make it very desirable for those who are active in the kitchen." Kohler continues to transform the way homeowners use water with its pio- neering new Sweep spray technology – an innovation that replaces circular pat- tern sprays with a wide, powerful blade of water. "We are thrilled to introduce this leading-edge spray to those looking for powerful performance from their kitchen faucet," says Sarah Fitzsimmons, product manager Kohler Kitchen Faucets. "This revolutionary spray gives the user more control which makes the mundane task of kitchen clean-up quick and easy." Sweep spray uses specially angled nozzles to create a forceful and uni- form blade of water that slices through dirt and debris effortlessly. "It provides precise water delivery that achieves superior results in cleaning dishes as well as sink basins and their edges and corners," says Fitzsimmons. St ylish kitchen design elements that improve efficiency are always in demand, such as the pull-down faucet. Aptly named, these types of faucets fea- ture a pull-out spray wand that makes the day-to-day tasks simpler than ever. "Kitchen faucets are one of our best sell- ing items," says Eva Mitic, marketing and communications co-ordinator for Andrew Sheret Limited and Splashes Bath & Kitchen. "They come in a variety of styles, including traditional, tran- sitional and modern. But sometimes people overestimate how tall they can be. Recently, manufacturers like Moen have begun to make a more low-profile version of these faucets." With a fresh style and a thoughtfully designed user experience, lines like Moen's Arbor offer a sleek pull-down option in a multitude of finishes. "A chrome finish is always a sleek option for any décor," says Mitic. The pull- down head offers two streams: aer- ated stream for everyday cleaning, and powerful rinse for heavy–duty cleaning. Arbor also offers a full 360-degree rota- tion and a high-arc spout that allows for even the largest pot in your cupboard. For over 75 years, Robinson Lighting & Bath Centre has offered products that are up-to-date with the latest trends. For clients looking for a stylish, high-performance kitchen faucet, the GROHE Concetto combines a high-style design and high-tech features in one great value product. "The GROHE Concetto has a sleek and modern design that adds a contemporary look to your kitchen," says Christina Kempinski, showroom manager at Edmonton's Robinson Lighting & Bath Centre. "The Concetto is a dual spray pull-down faucet that features a dynamic and clean design, which creates a fresh, modern look that will add a contemporary touch to any kitchen. Paired with GROHE SilkMove tech- nology, both water temperature and volume can be controlled effortlessly with the touch of one finger." Moen's industrial design team is letting everyone know that it's now hip to be square with new products that follow the trend of square shapes in design. "Previously, mainstream designs included more geometric cylinders while square shapes were viewed as more niche," says Steven Ward, director of global design, Moen. "Moen's faucet lines offer a variety of square shapes that fit within all style categories. Pure square geometry, softer pillowed squares or a mix of geometric square forms can work within any home's design." For an example of this new direction, the Rothbury and Boardwalk collections take cues from the elegance and glamour of the Art Deco environment, where shapes tended to be more rectilinear rather than curvilinear. This vintage design mixes classic lines with square, linear edges and square-shaped spouts. "Transitional designs featuring squares can be casual or glamorous," says Ward. "The square shapes tend to be softened or have a profile with a swept form and lim- ited detailing. Early Hollywood is one inspiration for the more glamorous designs." For modern options in Moen's new line up, the square shape can be pure or mixed with other geometric forms. "Moen's STō pulldown kitchen faucet follows this cue, offering a distinctive combination of geometric lines featuring a tubular, high-arc spout mixed with strong, cube-shaped base," Ward explains. Inspired by the timeless design and definitive functionality of an architect lamp, the Brizo brand continues to evolve its kitchen category offerings with a new col- lection of articulating kitchen faucets. A clever twist to the classic pull-down archi- tecture, the spray wand can be easily docked and undocked for maximum function and efficiency while touting high-design. "The beauty of the articulating arm faucet is how well it can direct water where you need it; it can be positioned at various heights and angles to help make tasks simple and easy to manoeuvre," says Celine Garland, Brizo product designer. "The highly functional form of the faucet was logi- cal, instinctive and further expands the Brizo brand portfolio, which is grounded in style and function." When the two-function spray wand is undocked, the user can freely move the wand to aim water in any direction in and around the sink area. When docked, the wand stays securely in place with Brizo MagneDock Technology, a patented, state- of-the-art magnetic docking system which keeps the spray head perfectly aligned. The articulating arm will be incorporated into two distinct kitchen collections by Brizo. Artesso, inspired by detailed, early 20th century metal works, and the sec- ond option, Solna, boasts a Scandinavian moniker to match its clean, contemporary design. Both are single-handle articulating faucets and are available in Polished Chrome, Brilliance Stainless and Matte Black finishes.
