LSI is offering its extensive array of patterns, colours and textures in Parallelograms, Hexagons and Chevrons to create big, bold defini- tions. This creative format is also available in Loose Lay, expanding the creative possibilities over raised access flooring and in areas transitioning to carpet. Forever exploring new boundaries, LSI hopes to challenge buyers' knowledge of geometry and help cre- ate some of the most exciting flooring patterns ever seen in luxury vinyl tile. When it comes to adhesives, MAPEI has combined the use of Mapesonic 2 sound reduction membrane and Ultrabond ECO 360 premium high-performance adhe- sive into a system for installing luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile. Together the system provides IIC and STC test values of 50/52 respectively and a Delta IIC of 20 when applied directly over a six-inch (15-centimetre) concrete slab without a suspended ceiling. "When a suspended ceiling is installed, the values are even higher: 70/67," says Jeff Johnson, business marketing manager. "When used with MAPEI SM Primer or MAPEI SM Primer Fast, it is the only inte- grated system with a peel-and-stick membrane that is backed by a warranty. Mapesonic 2 provides signifi- cant sound reduction for ceramic tile installations as well. Because this membrane can serve sound reduc- tion and crack isolation functions for both resilient floor covering and ceramic tiles, it reduces the need to use separate products on the same project, thus increasing the warranty value."
