However, I must take exception to the advice in "Toolkit" [Spring 2015]. Specifically it advises setting tire pressures to the numbers recommended in your vehicle's manual (correct), printed on the doorjamb (correct), or on the tire itself (incorrect). The pressure on the tire is the maximum allowable as per the tire manufacturer. It is not vehicle specific and usually higher than the pressures recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. People should not follow this particular option, as it will definitely lead to improper and premature tire wear. –Wayne Tunis Editor' s reply: Thank you for the correction, and we appreciate your bringing this helpful information to our readers' attention. I just read your reply to the comment on fog lights in the "You Say" column in the Spring 2015 edition. It should have read, "It is illegal to use both high-beams and fog lights simultaneously." New vehicles sold in Canada with factory-installed fog lights can only operate fog lights when the headlights are turned on. The fog lights are automatically turned off when the high beams are activated. –Mark Speed Editor' s reply: Our thanks to all the sharp-eyed readers who spotted this inaccuracy. In B.C., it is indeed legal to use both fog lamps and regular headlamps at the same time – but against the law to operate fog lights and high beam lights simultaneously. YOU SAY @TwittleAir @BCAA Oh how I love you. Thanks again.
