Whether I am speaking or coaching, the experience of writing my story has allowed me to inspire and encourage people at a much deeper level. how do you juggle being a life coach, lecturing internationally, writing a memoir and caring for your four children? I am lucky to have lots of support with a housekeeper, and a caregiver for Kilee. The children are now 15, 17, 18 and 19. Many of the messes that the housekeeper has to clean up now are from our two dogs and four cats! what would you say drives you? Living through challenges, I have become more deeply appreciative of life than others. I work to connect with a sense of joy on a regular basis. I have been through anxiety and depression, but now I maximize wellbeing by living intentionally, from the people I spend time with, to what I eat. It maximizes my creativity and energy and gets the best out of me. n did you renovate your home? We personalized the house three years ago. When we made changes, even those as small as paint colour, we made sure our special-needs (autistic) daughter Kilee was away to minimize the upset. It's a very open design, with a huge great room where we can all gather, which I love. where do you do your writing? In my home office. I will first sit by the fireplace to handwrite my thoughts, and then move to the computer, which overlooks the ocean, to complete it. what inspired you to write your memoir? I got to a point where it felt inauthentic to not tell my story. If I was going to encourage people that every obstacle in their life was surmountable, and that their dreams were achievable, I needed to share from a very personal perspective why I believe this.
