Another way that Membership is Rewarding at BCAA is through our business innovation. In November and December, BCAA and our over 1,000 employees across B.C. rallied together to donate $245,000 to United Way, a record for our organization. Employees also donated over 7,300 pounds of food for local food banks around the province, enough to help feed over 550 households for up to four days each over the holidays. Giving back to local communities Discovering How Membership Is Rewarding For years, our Members have been asking us to get into the car repair business, looking for a provider they know and can trust. We were proud to open our first BCAA Auto Service Centre location in Kelowna last fall. Next up is a Penticton location later this summer with more to come. The fact that BCAA Members get a 10% discount and extended warranty further sweetens the deal. In this issue of Westworld you will read about another new BCAA business venture – our car sharing service called Evo. Millennials tell us they are looking for convenient, affordable, environmentally sustainable ways to go more places with more friends and enjoy the B.C. lifestyle. BCAA is pleased to introduce a new way to make this happen. We live and work in the same communities as you and we want to work with you to protect your neighbourhoods and your families. Protecting families on the road has long been a focus for BCAA. This month we will kick off our Community Child Car Seat Program in partnership with the United Way to donate 1,000 child car seats to families in need across the province. This will bring us to 6,000 car seats donated over the last few years. As a BCAA Member, you helped us accomplish this. Thank you.
