W I N T E R 2 0 1 4 77 Walter Energy, Inc. continued prepa- ratory work, drilling and test pitting at the EB and Hermann expansions near the Perry Creek mine. By mid-year, the com- pany placed the Perry Creek mine and the Brule mine (and its preparation plant at Willow Creek) on care and maintenance. Teck Coal Limited continued engi- neering work and extracted a test sam- ple at Quintette (Babcock). Although Teck received final permit require- ments mid-year, it placed the site on care and maintenance. HD Mining International Ltd. con- tinued constructing a decline at Murray River to extract a bulk coal sample. As of September, the decline was about 660 metres long. Glencore plc completed geotechnical and exploration drilling in the Central zone at Sukunka and collected a bulk coal sample. The project is advancing through permitting. Jameson Resources Limited com- pleted an initial drilling program and limited trenching at Dunlevy. Canadian Dehua International Mines Group Inc. completed a feasibility study for the No. 1 mine at Wapiti River and continued working on permitting for railway and power lines.
