Roadside Assistance is a major member benefit at any time of the year but especially during the winter months, which can be unpredictable with ice, snow, wind chill and freezing temperatures. To help members with their roadside assis- tance needs, CAA Saskatchewan provides the following three excellent services: 1. CAA saskatchewan's roadside Assistance express service is an auto- mated system that receives and dispatches service when you require roadside assistance at your home address. "Our valued CAA members rely on us to help them 365 days a year, 24/7, which is why we've maintained the Roadside Assistance Express," says Fred Titanich, president and CEO of CAA Sas- katchewan. The Express Service reduces long tele- phone waits for members who live in the city, and call centre staff are able to respond to more serious emergency situations such as stranded motorists or vehicles blocking traffic. Here's how it works: • CAA members who are safe at home and need emergency road service can call 1-800- 222-4357, which is also the same phone number for Roadside Assistance Express. • CAA members who are stranded and are in need of immediate attention are advised to call 1-800-222-4357 and to wait for the Roadside Assistance Express Service prompt. • When using the Express Service, be calm and patient. Listen carefully to the prompts. Wait for the express system to complete each sentence – then provide your answer. It should only take about 90 seconds for you to provide your information. • Roadside Assistance Express Service ensures that calls are answered immediately and will also cut valuable minutes off the delivery time for every call. • The system or dispatcher immediately sends the necessary information to the tow truck/facility nearest to your location. • The Roadside Assistance service vehicle arrives at your home location to provide the required service. A typical conversation will include the fol- lowing basic questions: • Are you safe at home, calling from your home address? • Please verify your phone number and home address. • What is your membership number? • What is the make, model and colour of your vehicle? • What is your licence plate number? • What is your first name and last name? • What service do you require today? Under normal conditions, the tow truck should arrive within 45 minutes. Please remem- ber to have your membership card and photo identification available for the service provider. The CAA Roadside Assistance Express Service is available in Regina, Saskatoon, Weyburn, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Saskatoon and Estevan. Calls from rural areas will continue to be processed as per current practice. 2. roadside Assistance online is a con- venient option for requesting roadside assistance via your CAA online account. Just click on caask.ca/automotive/roadside-assistance and follow the prompts to log in to your account. You will be redirected to Roadside Assistance Online to complete your request. 3. the CAA Mobile App, available on iPhone, iPad and Android, allows members to access CAA services, including roadside assis- tance. Download the app from caask.ca/about- caa/get-connected/caa-mobile (you'll need your membership number), then select the road- side assistance button. It's that easy. CAA Saskatchewan appreciates feedback from members to help us evaluate and enhance our roadside assistance. With the help of our dedicated CAA contractors across the province, we will continue to provide the best possible emergency service.
