I.D. Patriot is ideal for light commer- cial environments including military housing, doctor's ofices, boutiques and other foot-trafic-only applications. "The collection, which consists of both wood plank and stone tile options, helps promote motivating and safe environ- ments with beautiful design and warm colours," says Trudo. The enhanced rolled edges add depth to the loor design, making it an ideal product for all light commercial environments. Altro Floors has introduced its Altro Wood Collection for 2014 with a new 40-colour range of classic and trendy wood-look sheet vinyl looring. "The collection was inspired by customer feedback and the need to pair safety [with] smooth and even acoustic loor- ing options in close proximity to one another, while maintaining a cohesive look," says Richard Finnegan, market- ing manager. "It is a highly-sustainable product range as it is made with 14 per cent bio-based content, contains no phthalates and is low- VOC emitting." There are three distinct products in the collection: Altro Wood Safety, Altro Wood Smooth and Altro Wood Smooth Acoustic. The pat terns have been designed so that speciiers can pick the same design in either a safety, smooth or acoustic option. With ranges that share a combination of classic, contemporary classic and trend designs, the mood can vary from cool and classy to warm and nurturing, making the products versa- tile across many industries. The Altro Wood Collection is avail- able in North America and helps con- tribute to LEED credits under the categories of Materials and Resources and Indoor Air Quality. Designed for busy working environ- ments, nora rubber looring now offers its norament satura, an ultra-durable loor covering from nora systems, Inc. Its lexible colour palette includes a subtle array of neutrals and saturated accent colours in a tone-on-tone design. "Nora collaborated with a diverse team of architects and designers in the product development process," says Amy Bostock, global brand manager. "The loor relects the desire for a pal- ette with crisp, sophisticated neutrals and complementary enunciated colours that combine easily with a variety of other inish materials." Featuring a hammerblow surface and granule effect, norament satura offers a tough, slip-resistant surface that adds comfort, reduces maintenance and attenuates noise, making it ideal for healing and learning environments. At GlobalShop 2014 in Las Vegas, LSI Floors launched a new looring pattern called BEACH. "I had been searching for the right image of sand for a long time," says Rick Moffatt, creative director and president of LSI. "When I came across the work of Randal Ford, I knew I had found it. The concept of applying a sin- gle image across the surface of a loor requires the right balance of colour, detail and interest. Randal's image has all of these elements allowing us to turn it into a very dynamic looring material." On his website, Randal discusses his work. "My process is based on focused preparation and practiced patience. I work hard to create an environment where something real can happen, where everyone, including me, can sur- render to the moment. The irst encoun- ter of BEACH will evoke warm sunlight on your shoulders and the feel of sand between your toes." BEACH will complement the other images of nature within the LSI Imagi- nation collection including water, ice, grass and river rock. Moffatt says the irst installation of this product will be into Margaritaville, a restaurant chain that creates a Caribbean vibe wherever they are located. BEACH is formatted in 24-inch squares at a standard thickness of 2.5 millimetre for a glue-down application, or is avail- able in a Loose Lay format at 5 millimetre with a tackiier on the backing. "Both for- mats possess an anti-slip surface created with glass bead technology and a supe- rior 28-millimetre wear layer, ensuring long-term brilliance in high-trafic areas, says Moffat." ■ Norament grano, durable fl oor covering by nora systems, Inc.
