Morning
Get the lay of the land at the
state-of-the-art Visitor Centre at
200 Burrard Street, and purchase
half-price tickets to an evening
performance through Tickets Tonight.
Sign up for a guided tour of the
city by bus, bike or foot, or explore
Vancouver's unique neighbourhoods
on your own (see page 14). Then
escape the city altogether at scenic
Stanley Park, a 400-hectare (1,000-
acre) urban oasis bordered by a
seawall made for strolling.
afternoon
Get lunch on the go from one of
the city's many fusion food carts,
then saunter down Robson Street, a
shopper's mecca for everything from
haute couture to funky souvenirs.
Stop for a latte and some people-
watching on a bustling cafe patio,
then drop into local artists' studios
in Gastown for First Nations and
contemporary art.
evening
Learn a little about the city's
history and its famous steam clock
in Gastown, Vancouver's Victorian
birthplace, before heading to
Yaletown for dinner at one of the
trendiest restaurants in town. Catch
your show (remember the tickets
you bought this morning?), and
nish off the day with a nightcap
at a lively Granville Street bar.
