Craft-beer nut? sidle up to the tiny tasting bar inside Wheelhouse Brewing — rupert's hip new microbrewery — for a frothy Gillnetter Golden Ale (wheelhousebrewing.com). doN't MIss Casting off from Cow Bay, Prince rupert Adventure tours' large yellow boats weave you through Chatham sound towards one of B.C.'s nature-hugging hot spots. the six-hour Grizzly Bear tour offers a supporting cast of seals, porpoises and bald eagles, but the stars of the show — dozens of snuffling grizzlies that call the area home — often appear along the Khutzeymateen Valley shoreline. there's a palpable awe among passengers as these sauntering residents — sometimes mothers trailing curious cubs — emerge from the dense forest.
